Red Red Wine

Alongside our gem tones this fall are an overwhelming amount of wine red hues! These intoxicating tones have splashed many of our favorite designers fall collections in shades of Burgundy, Chianti, Merlot and Bordeaux. 

From outerwear and accessories, to cocktail dresses and footwear, designers across the board have incorporated these rich hues into their latest fall pieces. My personal favorite take on this trend is the wine red coat. Whether slim fit or oversized, the wine red coat polishes off any fall ensemble with a chic luxe look.

Not only are wine hues taking over our wardrobes this season, but they’re also finding their way into our makeup bags. According to beauty experts, fall 2012’s most wearable makeup trend is beautiful deep wine colors! Spotted on runways and red carpets, celebrities and fashionistas everywhere have been seen wearing wine toned lipstick, lip liner, eye shadow, blush and nail polish. I personally love the bold and beautiful wine stained lip. The key to this look is to keep the rest of your skin soft and neutral to make sure that bold lip truly pops. The best part about this trend is that it works well with most skin tones so don’t be afraid to give it a shot!
