Sheer Brilliance

Sheer was one of the sexiest trends ruling the runways at Fashion Week this year. Many designers incorporated sheer into their collections, in a variety of ways, to give their pieces a sultry side without giving away too much. One of the most popular ways we've seen sheer this season is coupled with the always stylish little black dress. Since the 1950s, designers have combined these two trends to create a sophisticated, glamourous and feminine look.

Sheer black dresses continue to make their mark on runways and red carpets today. Whether adorned with lace, beads or sequins, these dresses exhibit the perfect combination of sex appeal and sophistication.

In terms of placement, one of the most popular ways designers have been incorporating sheer is in the shoulders and bust panels. Using sheer here, allows for sex appeal without the risk of a wardrobe malfunction. This is also, in my opinion, the most wearable way to rock this trend.

sexy, I wouldn't recommend this one for the office, ladies...

Sheer isn't just a trend to rock on top. Try sporting sheer in an unexpected way, with sheer skirts and pants. However you choose to wear it, you are bound to turn heads. Trust me: Its a Sheer Thing!

Color-Block Party

 One of the most eye-catching trends at fall fashion week this year, which emits confidence and demands attention, is color blocking. Color blocking involves wearing two or more blocks of bold color in one outfit. This season we are seeing color blocking of all kinds -- tops, pants, dresses, shoes, jewelry and handbags are all bursting with blocks of color!

A color-blocked clutch can be the perfect way to 

spice up an all black or neutral ensemble.

The key to rocking the colorblocking trend is making sure you don't over do it. When it comes to color blocking, less is definitely more, so be sure not to leave the house looking like a box of crayons. Select a few key colors that compliment each other to create a cohesive color combo that works! If you plan to create your own color block look from clothes you already own, make sure that you select pieces that are simple and clean cut, to prevent the clothing design from taking attention away from your fabulous color palate. 

The most popular color blocking hues this fall are rust orange and magenta pink. This bright color scheme gives you an energetic and fresh edge that is sure to make you stand out during the dark drab winter months.

The Jumpsuit, a popular fashion must-have this Spring, continues to hold its own in the fashion world this season, as one of the most versatile pieces of clothing for almost any occasion. The jumpsuit is a luxe update to our favorite summer staple, the romper, with a longer, fuller, more elegant twist. Jumpsuits offer a contemporary take on this fall's tailored suit trend and provide a chic alternative to the floor-length gown. What better substitute is there to evening dresses than an easy and effortless one piece jumpsuit? This power player will make you look sophisticated and stylish while giving you more freedom to move.

Jumpsuits are a wearable trend for every shape and size. Every woman, regardless of her figure, can always trust in a black jumpsuit to make her look slim and sexy. Like the little black dress, the little black jumpsuit will never go out of style.

Plus size girls should rock the one shoulder style jumpsuits which provide a slimming effect.

There are a number of ways to accessorize your jumpsuit, depending on the style. As mentioned before, thin and thick belts can be used to accentuate your curves. Wear long statement necklaces to bring focus to your face, or opt for gem stone earrings and a bold cuff to turn up the glamour. When it comes to footwear, pair wide leg jumpsuits with boots or flats and tapered jumpsuits with sky-high heels.

I personally love the jumpsuit because this one-piece item alleviates the stress of mixing and matching and allows you to get dressed and look fabulous in a snap! The jumpsuit also is a great investment piece because it lends the same functionality as our blouses and pants, and easily transitions from day to night, depending on how you style it. For the working girls, pair the jumpsuit with flats and soft jewelry and you’ll be sure to command attention at the office. After work, slip into your stilettos, pile on some bold bracelets, and apply your favorite wine stained lipstick, before heading out for a night on the town.
